Our annual meet schedules include driving tours, each to an historic site or other interesting destination. Often we'll enjoy a meal there along with a tour of the site, and then drive back. The first step is to log a First Information Report (FIR) and inform the insurance company. Raising Hell", the most macabre musical event of all time, will take place at a secret London venue on 28th August, when metal monsters Iron Maiden and horror illusionist Simon Drake will combine for a very unique 90-minute TV extravaganza. Raising Hell" will be beamed live on satellite to pay-per-view cable in the USA and will also be broadcast on TV in most parts of the world.

Controls have a point value. Most points in shortest time wins. A Night-o is just like regular Orienteering, it's just in the dark, and, yes, you bring a flashlight!

Blob detection is the process of identifying the pixels that make up each peak. Once the blobs of pixels are detected, they can be visualized and analyzed. The position (i.e., the retention times in each dimension) of each blob is related to the physical properties the chemical that produced the blob, so the position of a blob is useful in identifying each chemical in a sample.

FAST policy is that our swimmers MUST wear a FAST team suit in meets. This makes it easier for the coaches to keep track of our swimmers during a crowded meet and also promotes team unity and identity. We try to keep these suits affordable for our members. The FAST Swim Store does not always carry every size in stock and it takes time for the team logo to be put on the suits. Be sure to purchase a team swimsuit well in advance of the first scheduled swim meet.

The humans subjects regulations decision charts from the Office of Human Research Protection (OHRP) will help you to see whether your research falls under the human subjects regulations and if so, whether it meets the criteria for Exemption 4. Please note: OHRP advises that investigators should not have the authority to make an independent determination that research involving human subjects is exempt. OHRP guidance states that Exemptions should be independently determined.

In a word: no. We strongly encourage swimmers to attend meets. The analogy is this: in school we take tests to see how well we know the material and how much we have improved. Swim meets provide the exact same feedback to our swimmers. We provide “in house” swim meets here at the club to provide a fun “break in” experience to swimming competition and usually follow them up with some kind of goody (popsicles, root beer floats) for our swimmers and volunteers.

The 2007 season includes 5 A Meets, 4 B Meets, 2 Relay Carnivals, a Mini-Meet, and Divisional Championships. Other events are open to the top 8-16 swimmers in the league. Visit the calendar for more information.

A furmeet [usually monthly] is where a group of furries meet up in a major town/city and start socialising and just scour the area to look for new furry related events and shops. Just think of a bunch of all your friends meeting at one place and doing some fun stuff.

Who wins in a fight -- the blob or the thing? Howard Hawks' original Thing monster was a lumbering Frankenstein-type dude from a planet where man evolved from vegetable. No question there; the blob would turn him into carrot smoothie. But Carpenter's thing is a shapeshifter and assimilator.

A BLOB (Binary Large OBject) is essentially an array of bytes (byte[]), stored in the database. You extract the data in two steps: Call either getBinaryStream() or getBytes() in the extracted Blob object to retrieve the java byte[] which is the Blob object. Note A Blob is essentially a pointer to a byte array (called LOCATOR in database-talk), so the java.sql.Blob object essentially wraps a byte pointer. Thus, you must extract all data from the database blob.

Handling BLOB data with the DBI is very straight-forward. BLOB columns are specified in a SELECT statement as per normal columns.
