This is folklore! Perms, bleaches and haircolors only affect hair above the scalp. The hair will grow back exactly the same color that it was. The new hairs that are "growing in" may appear to be darker in color than you remember your natural hair, but this is an optical illusion. When dark hair is tied to the hairpiece base it creates a knot. Where the knot is tied a dark dot appears on the skin, especially when the base is lace. Lace material does not hide knots as well as a monofilament base does. Bleaching the knots, is usually only on lace front areas, but sometimes it may be necessary to do it to the hold piece.
