First, you may have some incorrect HTML. Browsers vary in their ability to guess what you meant. For instance, Netscape is much more fussy about tables than MS Internet Explorer, so a page with incorrect tables may look fine in MSIE but not display at all in Netscape. See the answer to "How can I check for errors?" for tips on finding your HTML errors. (In fact, even correct nested tables may not display correctly in Netscape.

There are a number of tasks that can be accomplished with Perl/Tk widgets, configurations, and bindings (a few that can't and a few that require specific tricks). Beginners are encouraged to work through the examples in UserGuide.pod. Some examples from UserGuide.pod are addressed in this document among those that follow. Basically a widget can be "created" by simply calling the sub of the same name: my $main = new MainWindow; will set aside the necessary system memory etc.

Some browsers use 'error correction', this means if it encounters invalid HTML the browser 'guesses' what should really be there. No two browsers 'guess' the same and in the end your page might not load in one browser while it looks fine in others. The particular web site you are trying to access is down or the site address in the address bar at the top is mispelled. Try going to another site and to see if the problem happens on all sites. Your connection to the Internet may have dropped. Make sure you still see the little green computers in the system icons area at the lower right of your screen near the time stamp. Your TCP/IP setup is damaged or misconfigured. TCP/IP is the language used by your computer to talk to the Internet.

If you are using Windows XP, you may need to install files for East Asian languages on your computer. You will need a Windows XP Install CD. Go to 'Regional and Language Options' in the Start menu to choose this option. Use a fabric marking tool which is appropriate for your particular type of fabric. For best results, use a marker that has a fine, clean point, such as a sharp quilting pencil, chalk pencil, or a fine-point fabric marking pen. The fine point will ensure that you draw clean lines on the fabric, providing the most accurate results.

How can I organize my source code within a file into functions, and avoid errors? What is the use of functions anyway, and how can I think about them logically and design them properly? In most diffraction applications, the primary beam is blocked by a beam stop. The beam center is the position at which the beam would have hit if it were not blocked. It will be at the center of any Bragg rings. Often this is close to the physical center of the detector, although sometimes it is near one edge of the detector. X-center and Y-center are the values of the pixels corresponding to the center of the diffraction pattern.

If you send me a patch that (in a decent manner) adds the functionality to the latest version, I may very well add it for the next release. If you don't send me a patch, but just a question, you will have to be patient.

This shows up because this is an entry I put into the download version to indicate the version number which will show up when you import it into your web browser of choice. When I generate the web version I leave that in each time because I'm lazy. There isn't anything that goes into that folder, it's just to indicate the current version number, so don't worry about it.
