It is most important that seat height should allow the upper body postures described in #7, #8, and #9. This upper body posture is most responsible for reducing risk of injury. Once this is accomplished, the feet should be flat on the floor. If the resulting seat height prevents the feet from resting flat on the floor, a foot rest is necessary. Even a phone book can serve as an inexpensive solution. This should allow the lower legs to be vertical and thighs horizontal.

The elbows should form a 90 degree angle while *hanging* at your sides from the shoulders. Rarely do chairs with armrests allow this position. It is *very* important that the shoulders remain relaxed in a lowered position during keyboarding (see #6).

The best exercises depend on your particular form of RSI, but here are a few favorites: the "Shoulder Blade Squeeze" is performed by raising your forearms and pointing your hands to the ceiling. Push your arms back, squeezing your shoulder blades together. Hold for at least 5 seconds and repeat 3 times. Eye Palming" is performed by placing your elbows on your desk, cup your hands, close your eyes, and place your eyelids gently down onto your palms.

You should change your sitting position at least every 15 minutes. Active breaks should be taken at least every 30 minutes especially for those who perform more than 2 or 3 hours of keyboarding a day. Microbreaks should occur more often.

The neutral position described in #7 can not be achieved while in contact with most commercial wrist pads. For this reason keyboarding is best performed from a "floating" wrist position. Thus contact with wristpads is best between bouts of keying only. Frequent rest, away from the keyboard, becomes necessary with floating wrists because it tends to emphasize shoulder muscle contraction. Don't forget to use the lightest possible finger pressure during keying.

The reasons for recent increase in computer injuries are many. One major reason is that computers are now allowing us to do more office tasks which formerly allowed us to change activity or take breaks. For example, a typewriter at one time required using a return carriage, "white out" for mistakes, breaks for paper installation, and getting up to file papers in a cabinet. Computer word-processing now eliminates these "microbreaks".

Yes. The top of the monitor should be at eye level because the eyes are at their most comfortable position straight ahead but slightly downward. This is why reading lenses in bifocal glasses are placed just below the horizontal plane. This posture also makes it easiest to balance your head above your shoulders with the least muscular effort.

The truth is, there is not a "best" car seat. The best style of seat is one with a five-point harness system. Other than that, find a car seat that fits your car, your child and your budget. Remember that spending more does not always equal a safer seat.

Check the manufacturer's instructions for the minimum weight. For premature or very small infants, you can also try a car bed. The Cosco Ultra Dream Ride CarBed, the SnugSeat CarBed and the Angel Guard Carbed (formerly the Graco Cherish) are three of these models. If you cannot find one, try your pediatrician or hospital. While many convertible seats have limits as low as 5 pounds while rear-facing, a typical rear-facing infant seat may be a better fit and be more convenient as well.

The height of the boot comes down to personal preference. We sell both 10" and 13" heights equally well. The 10" boot is the standard boot height offering complete support. The taller boot gives more protection to your legs for horseback riding. The 13" height boots also provide higher water protection.

A Generally, if you are 6'3" (190cm) or less, you should be fine. If you are taller, there may only be certain gliders you can fit into - it's worth asking the club you want to fly at.

In our regular 8-seater buses all seats are good. Everybody has a window seat. If it is very busy we will call in extra guides with their own buses. Their buses are similar but do not have window seats only.

All of the child safety seats on the market meet the same federal safety standards. The "best" seat is the one that fits your child, fits your vehicle, and is easy to use properly each time you travel.

The center of the back seat is the safest place for a car seat because it is farthest away from crash impact points. If the car seat does not fit in the center-rear, then one of the outboard seating positions should be used.

No. If you can type at least 30 wpm with accuracy, you can go on to Computer Keyboarding 2. It is highly recommended that you take Computer Keyboarding 1 before Computer Keyboarding 2 in order to learn the basics of formatting letters, tables, reports, and memos using Word 2002.

The ideal height to sit playing a djembe is a normal dining/office chair. Congas need a higher chair or added cushions. I use a portable fold-up 3-legged camping/fishing stool which only cost about a fiver from camping shops, and is easily folded up and carried over the shoulder; it's best with a cushion for added height/comfort. Alternatively, you can get some nice professionally-made drumming chairs.

Common bermuda should be maintained at 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 inches. Hybrid bermudas will be shorter, depending on the variety. St. Augustine should be mowed at 2 to 2-1/2 inches. Fescue and buffalograss can be mowed at 3 inches. Zoysias will vary depending on the variety.

Wall sconces should be installed 60" from the floor. For hallways they should be spaced 8'-10' apart.
