You will need very little spending money on most safaris as the majority of meals and activities are included in your package cost. We do not recommend carrying travelers checks, since they are not widely accepted in Greece. Some banks accept traveler’s checks and some do not, and many tavernas and restaurants do not. Additionally, you do not want to spend your valuable time in Greece searching for the banks that do accept Travelers checks.

You should bring all three. You should always have some local currency on you when you arrive in a foreign country. ATM cards will get you the best exchange rate and travelers' checks are safe because only you can cash them.

A few hundred bucks spending cash should do it. The only thing we don't cover is your bar tab, phone calls, and purchases like souvenirs. If you don't drink alcohol then a hundred bucks might be enough. If you do drink, well, you be the judge on that. Bring cash in small denominations - one's, five's, and ten's work best. The IIS suggests that you take only small amounts of US dollars and local currency with you. In most countries, it will be possible to access your US bank account with a MAC (or similar) card.
