Wiccans are considered Pagans (Those who follow or practice an earth-based or nature religion.). The Winter Solstice specifically is the day we celebrate the Sabbat called Yule, but we also celebrate many other dates throughout the year including the Esbats (full moons), and some Wiccans celebrate the dark moons as well.

Fall is the perfect time for a quiet getaway to enjoy northeast Ohio’s brilliant color and nothing is like our pastel pink sunsets over the silent frozen blanket of Lake Erie’s winter sleep. (The perfect time to curl up with a good book.) Spring winds and rains can make Erie dance. Our waves reach heights of 8 to 10 feet! Erie looks like an ocean in the Springtime.

Pagans are people who believe God and believe that God is love and that love is the highest motivation one can have. Pagans tie their worship in with the cycles of nature -- the cycles we naturally follow in life (such as the moon or seasons). Pagans believe in healing -- healing our selves, healing others, and healing the earth. Pagans don't believe in a devil in the way some people do.

The sun turns 4 days out of the solar year of 365.4 days. Equinox, the only two days of the year when the days and the nights are each 12 hours long, is the day when the sun passes the equator. The equinox day/night is the template for all traditional watches and clocks. Fall Equinox falls around September 21st, and Spring Equinox around March 21st. Then we have the two solstices which is when the days are long and the nights are short, or vice versa if you are "down under".

Winter is our rainy season, but that doesn't mean it rains all the time everywhere. Rather it is a time that the weather can be more unsettled and changeable as storm systems and cold fronts extend far enough south in the Pacific to impact Hawaii. When one of these weather systems affects island weather, it usually means several days with lighter winds, increased humidity and cloudiness with showers and heavier thunderstorms possible.

Piemonte has four distinct seasons. The winter is cold during January and February but in general sunny and dry. There are usually two or three snowfalls each winter which are dealt with effectively. Spring and autumn are usually warm and dry while summer is always hot.

It should be warm (or even hot) and sunny most days. The average day time temperature over the winter months is around 20 degrees C or above. It gets dark at about the same time as in the UK and then the temperature does drop but only by a few degrees. However, we always recommend that everyone has at least one pair of long trousers and a warm sweater or jacket just in case.

You will be staying in the traditional northwoods camp - white canvas wall tents with soft Balsam fir bough floors. Each tent is heated with a sheet metal woodstove. There are three tents in our base camps for our weekend trips. There is one larger one for everyone to gather in for cooking and eating and some sleep in it. There are two others for sleeping in. Having a woodstove in the wall tents affords the luxury of drying clothes and a readily available source of hot water for washing up.

When on the winter trail we stay in round Egyptian cotton wall tents that are heated by titanium wood stoves.

You've been listening to the stories people who aren't Pagans are saying, right? If you grew up in the U.S.S.R. (when it was still around), and listend to what they said, what would you believe about Americans? Would that be an accurate picture? Many times groups like to pain their own world as the best and all other beliefs or views or cultures as less-than-equal (or, in some cases, bad).

If you have the opportunity to be present at the birth of a child or witness someone's death, you can understand. Birth is, of course, tremendously joyful and death is sorrowful, but with both events there is a sense of a gate opening and a transition happening. Birth and death are both processes that totally take over. They're more important than anything else going on.

The Christian culture usually remembers The Book of Revelations of the Christian Bible at the end of each thousand year period and start preaching Armegeddon. The fundamentalist Christian churches then begin generating fear and confusion as they preach about the Rapture and the Second coming. When nothing happens, there is a big sense of relief and the Christians go back to sinning and committing terrible acts in the name of their religion.

Some Pagans are Witches, some are not. Just as most Witches are Pagan but not all Pagans are Witches. Many Pagan groups do not practice Witchcraft. Wiccans are a type of Pagan Witches; there are also Dianic Witches, Green Witches, and other types of Pagan Witches. There are also Christian Witches, many of these people are practicing Christian, but also practice Witchcraft. Santeria is a South American religion that is a blend of Voodoo, Witchcraft and Christianity.

This is a harder question. There is almost nothing that all pagans share belief in. Wiccans have the Wiccan Rede which says: "An it harm none, do what thou will," which is a simplified version of the OTO (Ordo Templi Orientalis) "Do what thou wilt is the whole of the Law. Love is the Law; Love under Will". Contrary to popular belief, the Wiccan Rede is not a law (the word "rede" means advise or advice).

It's Lijiang's southerly latitude that makes for warmer winters, despite the city's high elevation. In addition, December to February is dry season, and nearly every day sees strong, warm sunshine. Daily high temperatures may reach up to 15 degrees centigrade (60F), while nighttime temperatures are usually go down to just above freezing. Snow rarely falls in the city more than one time a year, though the surrounding mountain areas may see occasional snowfall.

Your degree may not be posted, but your grades for a winter term should be posted by this time. If you submit a copy of your transcript with grades you will meet the deadline. The deadline for a degree conferral transcript is later. If your school tells you that the transcript will not be ready by our deadline, ask your school to send us a letter verifying the date that degrees for that term will be posted to transcripts. This is the only way to extend the deadline.

Summers in the Arctic begin around mid-July and typically last until the end of August. During this time, little precipitation falls and the sun never sets. In the winter, once again little snow or rain falls, but the sun never rises and temperatures in the middle of the Arctic winter may go down to 40 below Celsius!
