If your baggage is damaged or tampered with, you have the right to claim compensation. At some airports, this will be paid immediately. In other cases, where this is not possible, you can replace your damaged baggage (from Baggage Assistance) with a new suitcase or bag from the selection made available at the airport or from a shop participating in the scheme.

Whilst we will make every attempt to ensure your luggage is handled with care, you should know that nas air liability for loss, delay or damage to baggage is limited unless a higher value is declared in advance and additional charges paid. nas air do not accept liability for fragile, valuable, perishable articles or baggage which is packed in damaged or unsuitable containers. We strongly recommend all passengers obtain adequate travel insurance cover prior to their journey.

Not necessarily. If you bring your shipment just before your own flight leaves - it will leave on a later flight. Export declaration and preparing your goods for delivery to the Airline usually takes a full day. Transfer at another airport can also take an extra day. Also the airline may delay your shipment for security reasons.

If your bags weigh more than 35 lbs. per person, you may need to pay an excess baggage fee of $.25 per pound. This is typical for foreign country, especially on small aircraft. While we recognize this as an inconvenience to you, it is an indication of the remoteness and the logistic problems that face us.

If your baggage is lost or damaged during the flight, notify the authorized personnel of the company immediately after landing. Demand a report stating that your baggage got lost or damaged (P.I.R. report). You will not be able to make a claim without this report. Also make sure that you inform your insurance company immediately. You will need to present the original invoice(s) of the lost/damaged baggage in order to make a claim.

All damage claims should be reported in person prior to leaving the airport. This notification must take place after the arrival of the flight and before leaving the airport on which the bag was checked. The damaged article(s) need to be presented for inspection at the airport where Buraq Air personnel are responsible for the final resolution of your damage claim. Although we go to great lengths to prevent any lost or damaged baggage from occurring it occasionally does happen. Losing baggage on a scheduled flight can be a nightmare. We recommend that you try to check your baggage in as a group at the same airport to avoid loss or misplacement. Afrika Zambezi Safaris shall supply a soft duffel bag and t/shirt which will be sent to all clients confirmed on safari trips - making it easier to identify others in your group. In most cases you will have been given the option of adding in flight meals and where appropriate adding extra baggage allowances. Tourists are allowed 20kg of hold baggage, and hand baggage not weighing more than 6kg and measuring no more than 60cm by 40cm by 20cm.

Hawaiian Airlines' Baggage Service office at the respective airports handle all checked baggage claims or items taken away from passenger on the aircraft for which a claims tag is issued. A Baggage Irregularity Report (BIR) is required to be completed in writing by the passenger upon arrival or within 4 hours of flight arrival at the Baggage Service counter for any delayed, lost, or damaged checked baggage.

A claims report must be completed and a copy will be given to the passenger. An Xtra Airways baggage service representative will trace each claim and contact the passenger with a status.

BRAG does not guarantee the safety of your baggage, bicycle, or other equipment. Thefts of baggage are rare. The usual culprit is someone who mistakenly picks up a bag thinking it is his or hers. Your bags should be distinctively painted or decorated with ribbons and your name so you can find them easily.

Excess baggage allowances can be pre-purchased to avoid time spent at the airport on departure ONLY if you know the excess weight in advance. Purchases can be made from your local Emirates office. Charges will be according to the excess baggage weight and the destination.

Binter frequently operates ATR 72 aircraft with limited load capacities on flights inside the Canaries, it is essential that passengers inquire in advance about excess, special or sports baggage and have the carriage confirmed.

If this happens, you must report any lost or damaged baggage to the airline's handling agent at your arrival airport. You will be given a form to complete. If you need to claim for damaged or lost luggage, you will need to send a copy of the form to your travel insurance company within 21 days of the receipt of your baggage.
