The Groupwise Windows Client will not run on a PC that has Microsoft Outlook installed. (Note: Outlook Express can run on the same PC as Groupwise.) Those persons wishing to keep Microsoft Outlook on their computer can configure Outlook to access their e-mail messages, and access their Groupwise Calendar and other features via the web.

The GroupWise properties can be modified so that when the icon is clicked, a box appears that allows the user to enter their GroupWise username and password. When the GroupWise Properites box pops up, select the Shortcut tab. The screen will look like the one below, except you will need to add the /@u-? The Novell GroupWise IMAP server would be better named GroupFoolish; it is (according to the designer of IMAP) unusably broken. Among other things, it doesn't include a required content length in its BODY[TEXT] response. Fetchmail works around this problem, but we strongly recommend voting with your dollars for a server that isn't brain-dead.
