You may pick up a concealed weapons permit packet at any District Substation or from the Desk Officer at the Sheriff's Office Headquarters at 14750 Six Mile Cypress Parkway in Fort Myers. A copy of the laws relating to firearms is included in each concealed weapons application packet.

The firearm must be securely encased (i.e., in a snapped holster, a zippered carrying case, or similar encasement). It should be placed in the glove box for safety and security. First, one would see the Clerk of the Court and fill out a Concealed Weapons form. The next step is to be fingerprinted at the sheriff's office located behind the courthouse. Then go back to the Clerk of the Court with the completed application and a fee will be collected. The application must include some record of firearms training in some capacity. The sheriff then runs a criminal history on the applicant and if the sheriff approves, he sends his recommendation to the judge.

Weapons are not allowed within the park. (36CFR). However, congressional legislation does permit weapons in Mosquito Lagoon, but only during (duck) hunting season, and only by properly licensed hunters while hunting in the designated area.

Citizens of the State of Illinois CANNOT carry concealed weapons. If you carry a concealed firearm in a vehicle you have committed a felony. Citizens in the State of Illinois must own a Firearm Owner's Identification (F.O.I.D.) card. A citizen must apply using an application available at the Sheriff's or Police Department or through the State of Illinois. This only enables the citizen to possess firearm(s).

The Sheriff's Office will send a Deputy to keep the peace and prevent violence while you retrieve your belongings. Call the Sheriff's Office from a public telephone near where your belongings are, and a Deputy will go with you to the house.

Although there is no proficiency test, applicants for a ND CWP must successfully complete a written test. For more information see: ND CWP Yes. If your fair board will be allowing either bingo or coin-operated amusement devices, or both, to be operated at the fair. In addition, proper licenses are required of the bingo or coin-operated amusement devise operators. After 6:00 pm on Christmas Eve; all of Christmas Day; and no off-sale after 2:00 am on Thanksgiving Day.

National Forest lands are subject to both federal and state regulations. In general, you can carry a firearm on Tahoe NF lands, subject to the requirements of state law. Target shooting and hunting is also allowed, subject to regulation and common sense.
