Very carefully seal the unit in a plastic bag, (a garbage bag works well) and then wrap the unit with large type bubble wrap. Make sure the item is covered on all sides by at least two inches of material per side. If you must use styrofoam peanuts, then be sure to compress the packing very tightly. We receive units every week which have received damage from insufficient packaging. This type of repair work is not covered by warranty and is typically very costly.

To save time and money and ensure the safety of your data you may want to first back up your data, disconnect cords and load them along with discs and peripherals into a well-labeled carton. You do not have to have the original box; a sturdy corrugated box will be fine. You are responsible for any damages in shipping so it is very important that the proper packing is used and insured for at least $2,000.

Send us an email (plain text) describing your project and ask us specifically if we'll put it up on our Events page. Sometimes people will send us stuff and we can't tell whether it's for the EMC or just a personal invite. We put up announcements which are EMC-like in content and spirit, so if we don't announce your event, it might be that you didn't make it clear to us that you wanted us to post it, or that it wasn't clear to us how it fit in with the EMC.

It is very important for us to make sure our clients receive our packages securely. We are only able to ship to a PO Box under certain conditions. PO Box shipments are more vulnerable to loss since tracking only records when item is left and not when customer actually receives it. If you qualify for a PO Box shipment, we reserve the right to request regular address at our discretion.

In our system, only in-stock items can be checked out. If your items are missing, that is because there may have been a miscalculation of inventory. We do not invoice for the shortages.

Despite the fact that we have an online stock control system very occasionally the site might allow you to order a product which we have run out of. This usually happens if two people order the same item at the same time when we only have one in stock. We will usually contact you to ask whether you want to order another poster, or wait until further stocks arrives or have a refund.

Because the end of file character is not detected on files named ''infp''. (Introverted-iNtuitive-Feeling-Perceptive, that is.) Also, it may be that the file was opened in text mode, where an end of file is read as a capital 'Z' on most machines, and feof() only looks for 'control Z'.

If you still haven't found your suggestion somewhere, post a new thread here or eMail me at "pinkgothic at t-online.de". Easy for me to do, easy for you to do: eMail me, or post on the forum. This'll likely be implemented almost instantly.

This is sounding like a broken record, but you don't. You post them to the Suggestions board on the official forums. Once you've posted a suggestion, people can then talk about it and help you improve it (if possible) or advise you to drop it (if needed). At some point in time after that, it will likely get "dumped" or "promoted."
