The starting point to obtain a concealed weapons permit is to go the Albany County Sheriff’s Office located in Laramie at the County Court Building on Grand Avenue. They have the information needed to step you through the process.

Contact your county's Sheriff's Office or, if you are a resident of an incorporated city, your city's Police Department, for information on obtaining a CCW license. They can answer your questions and provide you with copies of their CCW policy statement and the State's Standardized CCW Application. If you live within a jurisdiction of a city Police Department, you may apply to the county Sheriff's Office for a CCW license.

North Dakota has reciprocity with some states. Reciprocity means a North Dakota concealed weapon permit is valid while in those states, and permits from those states are recognized as valid in North Dakota. If you are a Michigan resident with a Michigan concealed pistol permit and want to carry your pistol into another state you are strongly encouraged to contact that state for information on their concealed pistol law. A Michigan CCW permit does not supersede any other state's law or CCW requirements.

First, one would see the Clerk of the Court and fill out a Concealed Weapons form. The next step is to be fingerprinted at the sheriff's office located behind the courthouse. Then go back to the Clerk of the Court with the completed application and a fee will be collected. The application must include some record of firearms training in some capacity. You must be a West Virginia resident to obtain a West Virginia permit. Applications are processed by the Sheriff of your county of residence. As of July 22, 2004, federal law permits any qualified current or retired law enforcement officer to carry a concealed firearm in any of the 50 states. CCW packets are available at the Grand Ledge Police Department free of charge. All of the information you will need is in the packet. When applying for a CCW permit, you will also be required to have a gun Safety Certificate completed by an authorized firearms instructor, or a Police Officer. A processing fee in the amount of $65, effective January 1st, 2005 (Cashier's Check or Money Order only) made payable to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. This payment is submitted with your CCW Permit Application form and Fingerprint Card upon completion of the course.
