This is probably because you set up your mail client to use ValueWeb's mail server to send mail via SMTP. Due to problems with spam being routed through ValueWeb's mail server, you must now use your internet service provider's mail server to send outgoing mail.

The error message you're seeing is because the SMTP server you're trying to use has access controls on it that prohibit you from using it from another network. We do not allow clients to use our server for outgoing mail for security and spamming protection. When you try to use mail.domain.com as your SMTP server, it will respond with an error. You can do the following to disable this expansion when sending mail: Modify your memo form to include a hidden field named "ExpandPersonalGroups" with Text type and Computed when Composed with a value of "0". Usually the most common cause of this is that you have not correctly configured your mail client. The IP address of the sending email server has inverse DNS resolving to a suffix which is known dynamic space (ie. dyn.foo.com or adsl.bar.com.) The email server is not allowing you to send mail because it does not recognize your IP address. You are likely not connected to Grande directly, but rather (a) dialed into another provider, (b) at your office, or (c) travelling. Simply CHECK your email before attempting to send.
