In short, your GL libraries are broken. So far only Red Hat 7.x users have experienced this (see http://www.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=18867). The only solutions are possibly complicated ones: you can either change distributions (most of us prefer Debian) or upgrade/downgrade your Mesa libs. Expect is looking for tclInt.h which is one of Tcl's private headers. Tcl doesn't install this by default, so Expect tries to find it in Tcl's source or build directory. To explain where that directory is, use the --with-tclinclude flag when running Expect's configure. Some versions of the GTK+ library from www.sunfreeware.org appear to be buggy, causing Ethereal to drop core with a Bus Error. Un-install those packages, and try getting the 1.2.10 version from that site, or the version from The Written Word, or the version from Sun's GNOME distribution, or the version from the supplemental software CD that comes with the Solaris media kit, or build it from source from the GTK Web site. This error is typically caused by a truncated heap dump or invalid heap dump format. You may be given a line number in the heap dump; running with "-v" may give more information. If you installed the wxWindows RPM, be sure to run "ldconfig" (as root) so your system knows about the new library. If you installed wxWindows from source, it may have been installed in /usr/local, but /usr/local/lib may not be in your library path. Add /usr/local/lib to the file "/etc/ld.so.conf" and then run "ldconfig". You may also want to add "/usr/local/bin" to your path, so that programs can find the "wx-config" utility. When the error message is "Error: can't read "type": no such variable" you were probably using a double-click to select the scene file and start loading it.
