FAQFor most all Moto Guzzi's we recommend Valvoline multi-viscosity 20/50 engine oil for the summer (55 degrees or above) and 10/40 for winter use (below 55 degrees). The transmission and rear end use Hypoid 80/90. Transmission takes about 1 qt and the rear end about 1/2 qt. Engine takes approx. 3 qts. Be aware that some of the popular oils have to much detergent and create to much foam which causes crankcase pressure at high RPM. See similar questions...
Why has oil coated the underside of my engine and transmission?
_2It's most likely that the seal around your intake manifold is leaking. While it was originally thought to be the intake manifold gasket itself leaking, it's now found to be the sealant being used. The reason is a gasket is only applied to the left and right sides of the manifold while the front and back is sealed with RTV sealant. If the sealant is applied to a surface, which isn't clean, the oil will be able seep through. See similar questions...

Should I use "Oil Restrictors" in my engine?
CraneCamsNo, Crane Cams does not recommend the use of oil restrictors. The oil is the life blood of the engine, not only lubricating but cooling the engine components as well. For example, a valve spring builds in temperature as it compresses and relaxes. This increase of temperature affects the characteristics of the spring material, and if excessive, will shorten the life of the spring. Oil is the only means the spring has for cooling. How much oil should my engine use?
The Peugeot 206 GTI PageAll engines do burn oil, which is emitted again through the exhaust. The cylinders are oil-wet, fuel is burned, and so it burns the oil on the cylinder walls too. It's a simple as that. When it burns 1 litre every 1500 km you can start to worry, and when it burns one litre every 1000 km, the oil seal piston and/or cylinder is worn (one or all four). It goes the other way around too. The fuel/air/oil mix leaks a bit (due to the compression pressure) down into the engine/sump via the piston rings. See similar questions...

How can you get rid of the transmission when you use the MYT Engine in a car?
Angel Labs :: TechnicalThe current standard engine and its transmission is necessary since most internal combustion engine cannot generate enough torque at low rpm. So at low speed, instead of turning the engine at low rpm, it has to turn at high rpm to move the vehicle therefore, needs a transmission to gear down. The MYT Engine, due to 16 firings in one revolution, generates enough torque to move the vehicle at any low rpm, and as a result, a transmission is not required in a vehicle powered by the engine.
