Bedside to bedside service means that the medical crew is with the patient from the discharging facility, on the flight, and is with the patient until arrival at the receiving facility. Although many companies do not provide this service, AeroCare feels that bedside to bedside service is very important and we provide this service on every flight.

Yes, the quieter system is the baseboard system. With a hot air ducted heating system, a large fan is required to force the heated air from the furnace into the ducts. Ducts carry the rushing hot air and the fan noise to every room. You are disturbed by the frequent start and stop of the fan motor and the "whoosh" of the air itself. With a baseboard system, a boiler circulates hot water silently through finger-width tubing.

Broad Gauge (See table below.) Most BG mainline sections now have about 1660 sleepers per km (about 60cm spacing); the earlier standard used to be 1538 sleepers per km (about 65cm spacing). It is a 100% cotton-sleep bag with arm holes and neck hole, attached with very special reinforced stitching to a 100% cotton base-sheet. Underneath are long cotton ties to secure the base-sheet firmly on the underside of the mattress. It is fiddly at first to secure to the cot mattress, but after a couple of goes, you get quicker at putting it on. The long zip in the sleep-bag makes it easy to get an infant in and out; plus the zip is sewn in upside down to make it tricky for a toddler to undo.

Being 100% cotton, it is subject to some slight shrinkage. However, it is also purposefully designed to be hardy for washing. Most users wash them in cold water, and hang out or put in the dryer. It can pay first, to tie the long ribbons in bunches, so they don’t get badly knotted.
