Our students can be found in every public and most private high schools in the area. Stoneybrooke does not recommend one high school over another.

Although the items are based on ninth-grade content standards and guidelines, the assessment has been used for testing students from grade six through post-secondary.

Sheila has held a variety of jobs to support her family. During much of the filming of "Country Boys," she worked 60 hours a week as a hotel maid. After she moved out of Kentucky, she worked regularly at fast food restaurants. She currently is living in Indiana where she was working at a factory manufacturing engine parts. But recently, she hurt her back on the job and for now is unable to work.

If you did not complete high school and have not obtained a G.E.D., you may be able to attend FLCC. To be eligible, you must Achieve a minimum score on an Ability to Benefit (ATB) test administered at FLCC. The test includes an assessment of your reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, and Agree to follow course placement requirements for enrolling in a combination of courses that are designed to help you succeed in college.

If the ninth grade is high school in your district, you should apply using the High School RFA when it is released. If the ninth grade is junior high/middle school in your district, you should apply using the Elementary and Junior High/Middle School RFA.

I advise you to take as much math as you can. Having high school calculus under your belt will make your first physics classes much easier. Physics and other sciences should be a priority, too, but don't neglect other classes. Astronomers still need to be good writers and communicators, and good grades across the board are necessary for college admission and scholarships.

To request that an official grade transcript be mailed to your high school or another college, the student may login to MECC OnLine and request the transcript or submit the request in writing to the Registrar's Office in Godwin Hall. The request should include the name and address of the specific office where the transcript should be mailed as well as the student's name and either social security number or student user id. Written requests must be signed by the student.

Yes. Your application to the visiting student program will be evaluated based on your high school record. Please remember that as a visiting student you will not be working toward a degree at Johns Hopkins, although you may transfer the credits you earn to another institution.

No. Although many scholarships are targeted toward current high school seniors, many programs are open to students of any age. In fact, some programs even require that students be past a certain age to apply. Yes. There are many scholarships that use academic achievement only as a secondary selection criterion or do not ask for transcripts at all. A student's GPA may be only one of the factors used by scholarship providers to determine their winner(s).

Yes. We require a copy of your high school diploma or, its equivalent (GED), and /or four academic passes in GCE, CXC, BGCSE or HKCE exams. High school documents do not have to be translated, with the exception of Asian, Hebrew or Arabic.

Our goal for students who graduate from The Kessler School is for them to be prepared for any educational learning environment. Many remain in the private school setting (Canterbury Episcopal, Greenhill, Lakehill, St. John's Episcopal, Good Shepherd), but an equal number have moved into the public magnet schools.

Schools should develop systems to support the continued implementation of active EST plans when students move between grades and transition from one school to another. Students referred to EST may be eligible for alternative assessment. The decision must be a team decision, with parents participating or providing input. Yes, we do. While most of the interns we accept are college-age or older, we have accepted several high school students to our program in the past. We do not, however, separate the high school applicants from the others during the selection process. High school students we've accepted in the past had already exhibited a deep commitment to women's equality and/or grassroots/political organizing, despite their young age.

Westerly sends its graduates to public, independent, and parochial high schools in Long Beach and the surrounding areas. Beginning in Middle School, our students and families are advised by our faculty and High School Counselor. Admission directors from area high schools participate annually in our high school information forums.

Yes, as long as they have completed or are exempt from the Texas Success Initiative placement test, and provide a high school transcript and a letter from the high school principal or counselor giving permission to enroll in TC classes. Navarro did not, as he was kicked out (due to long hair, bad grades, and drugs) of the private (funded by tuition fees paid by students) Catholic high school he attended in Sherman Oaks called Notre Dame when he was in 11th grade. The next year, (his senior year which is the final year for those unfamiliar with the cogs of the American education system), he enrolled in public (funded by government taxes) school but rarely attended.

To receive a high school diploma, Alaska students must earn at least 21 credits, and some school districts require more. The State Board of Education & Early Development stipulates that students earn four credits in language arts, three in social studies, two each in math and science, and one in health/physical education. Local school boards set the remaining nine or more credit requirements for their own schools. Many students earn credits beyond those required as a minimum.
