To avoid missing any email sent to your domain due to incorrectly spelled alias, you can create a catchall email account. While creating a catchall account, you need to specify its alias as a wildcard character "asterisk" (*). To type this character, you need to hold down the "Shift" key on your keyboard and press "8" key. So your catchall email-id will be *@yourdomain.com.

From your User Management Screen (default screen upon opening your control panel), click on the pink EMAIL ICON next to a User Name. (next screen will appear) 2) In the Forward Email field enter the email address to which you want all of your email to be forwarded/dumped to. 3) In the Email Address field enter "@www.YourDomain.com". (Example: if your domain name is YourDomain.com then you would enter "@www.YourDomain.com" -- without the quotation marks.) 4) Click on the SAVE THIS button.

This is where any email received, with any email alias, is stored in one POP3 mailbox. This saves having to set up multiple POP3 mailboxes for different aliases.

If you choose not to use VPN from off-campus and still want to send email through your own broadband provider, you will need to configure your mail client settings as described in the document Configuring Eudora Email When Off-campus. With the variety of different email programs that are available, we cannot provide all the details for each and every one of them. Netscape on the Harding computers is not configured to send email. You must send email from Eudora or POPmail/Lab to have your email work properly.
