Alternate versions of this appear on the Eno vocal box and the "Ali Click" CD5 release. Acylics is the paint used by Nick Hallard to hand-paint all images on Eyebright Traditional Inn Signs. It is very versatile, and can be used much like oil paints, but has the capacity to be diluted and used like watercolours. The recipe has hardly changed in 100 years, yet it is very durable and perfectly suited to extremes of temperature, light and weather. It forms a kind of rubbery surface when dried.

SofLux OX is a 210 denier nylon that has been coated on the back side of the material with a polyurethane coating to make it waterproof. The formulation of the coating also allows the fabric to breath. The advantages of SofLux over vinyl are: Vinyl is made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It is constructed of three different layers of material. A layer of vinyl then a layer of mesh (know as scrim), this give the vinyl strength, then another layer of vinyl.

Vinyl tops are made with a vinyl exterior and a cloth interior backing. Cloth toppings are a definite aesthetic upgrade to vinyl toppings, but they can be harder to keep clean. The Stayfast is a very good quality material. The Sonnedecke Cloth is Haartz' version of the German Cloth and is a very good match- very high quality. It is argued that the Sonnedecke is a tighter weave than the German cloth and thus a better material.

Acetate pages open on the top and bottom. The pages are very clear and will not have an acid reaction with your images that vinyl potentially could. Acetate pages are appropriate for color images and computer prints. They are also suitable for glossy prints or laser copies. Vinyl pages are comparatively more resistant to blurring, scratching or tearing and are sealed at the bottom. Vinyl pages are applicable for black and white images, tearsheets or brochures.
