Most just say they are visiting friends who have country property. Many Naturists tell close friends about their Naturist membership -- from this comes the best source of new members. With each passing year, Naturism is becoming more accepted even by those who would not consider it for themselves. There is little difference in the two terms. Most "nudists" tend to participate in social nudity via resorts, camps, and other similar settings, and they tend to practice social nudity for its own sake. There are some 30 nudist beaches on Gran Canaria, with the most famous being around the Sand Dunes in Maspalomas.
