Athlete's foot is a common condition in young people and adults. We have a female cockatiel which has a recurring bumble foot. Over the past year it has been treated many times by our local vets, but it keeps coming back. She has been treated with antibiotics such as doxycycline (Vibravet) powder in her water, and by wrapping her foot with iodine-soaked gauze. It always recurs in the same spot in the centre of the sole of her left foot, with a lot of swelling at her ankle bone and top of foot.
