It is fine to wash slings made with our rings in a regular washer. They can also be dried in the drier. You should check your sling and rings carefully after they are washed and dried and before you wear them again.

Hand wash in warm or cold soapy water and AIR DRY. You can also machine wash warm or cold with your regular detergent, preferably in a laundry bag so they do not inadvertently get placed in the dryer-AIR Dry ONLY. Wash frequently (depending on use) to keep the insole free of dirt/grime and also to keep bacteria/odor free.

All rings are measured from the inside edge to the other inside edge. This is their inner diameter (ID) The nylon rings are SMALL 2 1/4"(5.7 cm), MED 2 5/8" (6.7 cm), LARGE 2 7/8" (7.3 cm) and are 0.4" (1 cm) thick. The aluminum rings are SMALL 2" (5 cm) MED 2.5" (6.4 cm), LARGE 3" (7.6 cm) and 0.25" (.64 cm) thick.

Currently nylon rings are available in black, white, grey, ivory and navy (the "neutrals") and blue, green, purple and burgundy (the "colors") Aluminum rings are at present available in black, silver, gold and brown/bronze (the "neutrals") and blue, green, purple, turquoise and red (the "colors"). Our rings are priced as they are for two main reasons. The first is that they are made in the USA. We pay our workers a living wage. The second is that our rings are made especially for use in baby slings, which means that we put them through two and three extra processes to make sure that they are smooth and h4 and safe. We use only the highest quality materials for these same reasons.

Generally rings are shipped the next business day after they are ordered. There are occasional delays, but rings are always shipped within 2-3 business days. Rings are shipped through the United States Post Office, and are not guaranteed to arrive by a certain date. Orders of less than 5 pair are shipped first class mail, and generally arrive about 5 business days after they are sent.

DermaSilk can be washed as often as necessary. With some forms of weeping eczema it may be necessary to wash it more than once a day to remove any discharge.

We recommend hand washing using a very mild LIQUID HAND SOAP. DO NOT use any detergents, delicate washes, wool washes or antibacterials. These can leach out the natural oils and the leather could become stiff. We also advise against washing the entire slipper unless it becomes absolutely necessary, as some colour can be lost when washed. Please note that some stains, such as heavy foods, oil or nail polish will not come out with washing.

Thinsulate is made of many tiny fibers that do not absorb water, it is important to wash it properly if you are to maintain the hydrophobic characteristics of the fibers. Many people wash the insulation sparingly and layer a liner under it (such as the Stretchliner 100) to absorb sweat and extend the time between washings. When you do need to wash the Thinsulate, wash on the gentle cycle, preferably in a front loading washing machine, and use vinegar or bleach instead of soap.

Intacs. The procedure takes about 20 minutes, but less with the laser. The cornea is marked for the ring position (centered on the iris or pupil, depending on whether it is the Standard or SK model), a 1.2mm incision is made using a triple-edged diamond knife with a guard which limits depth at the implantation site to about 50-75% corneal thickness at the site.

Our rings are made specifically for use in baby carriers. We designed them to be lightweight, colorful and free of welds. They are strength tested, smoothed, and made of only the strongest materials.

Our nylon rings are individually tested to ensure safety and strength. Our aluminum rings are batch tested at our facility, and also in an independent laboratory to ensure strength and non-toxicity.

We are careful to smooth out the rings and use non-toxic materials, as we know that babies find our rings irresistible.
