Travel teams are formed in the fall for the following spring season. The tryout dates are listed in the travel section of this site and in The Northville Record in late summer. Players that are playing on a house team and are interested in playing on a "tournament team" are encourages to talk with their coaches about this opportunity. Tournament teams are formed early in the spring season. The NBSA is a volunteer-based organization providing opportunities for our 1400 + ball players.

A Travel Team is comprised of players whose skills have developed to the point where they would benefit from playing in an environment that is more competitive than the current Intramural Program offered by the CYBL. The travel teams will play games against players of the same age from other cities and towns in the area.

Answer: Tryouts, roster additions or subtractions, or other related issues are considered team issues and coaching decisions. Only in the case of gross misconduct (coach, player or parent) would the club interfere in such decisions. If a coach does not wish to have any roster additions or subtractions, they are not required to go to tryouts.

Our goal for the travel team program is to give players a playing atmosphere that is more competitive than the intramural program but one which still concentrates on the two key elements of the intramural program, "Fun and Fundamentals". Since the teams will be playing in competitive leagues and tournaments, it is expected that coaches will utilize their players in an attempt to win.

Formal tryouts for the AAU season are held each year in late February and early March. Parents are always encouraged to contact the head coaches and team managers in respective age groups for tryout information and opportunities. Yes, if you choose to tryout for the Orange Squad and are not chosen, you can then request for consideration for the White Squad. It is still highly recommended that you attend the each of the separate tryouts should you choose to do so. Orange squad tryouts will be held before white squad tryouts.

We are accepting out of town teams. Please fill out the Team Application with all your information and enclose payment in the form of check or money order. Only teams requests postmarked on March 2nd, 2007 will be accepted. Any prior date will not be accepted. Be sure to provide a return address and instructions on how you would like to take delivery of your tickets. We will either mail or leave your tickets at will-call. Although a team can hit speeds of up to thirty miles an hour for a short distance it is inefficient to go that fast for very far, so an efficient, competitive speed would be a constant eleven or twelve miles an hour.

Travel team members are NOT allowed to play in the regular CYBL intramural program nor in the CYBL Brotherhood Postseason Tournament.

Traveling with a specific sports team is required for individuals on an Athletic Training Scholarship. Traveling with the sports team to which the student is assigned is an important part of being part of the Sports Medicine team and can be a lot of fun.

The Manalapan Soccer Club runs a year round (Fall-Spring) travel program for U8 - U14 players. Try outs are held at the end of the Spring season for the upcoming year.

Our in-state travel teams will participate in tournaments throughout t Florida and will also attend the Big South tournament in Atlanta, GA. Non-travel teams do not pay additional monies for tournaments held within Florida. These teams will participate in 4-6 tournaments every season. The in-state travel teams season will likely conclude with the FL Region Championships which are held in late April or early May.

The ABYS town program is designed as both the initial development program and an ongoing development program for building soccer skills in a balanced, competitive, fun-oriented atmosphere. The program begins with Kinder Soccer, progresses through 4v4 play situations at the U7-U8 level, into 6v6 play at the U9-U10 levels, and ends with 7v7, or 8v8, play at the U11-U12 levels.
