Oftentimes the Chia seeds won't sprout because there is a lack of moisture in the environment. To start over, scrub the old seeds from the planter and begin the process again. This time, try the "greenhouse technique" after you've spread the seeds. Loosely "tent" a plastic bag over the Chia planter (making sure it doesn't touch the seeds) until sprouts have appeared (approximately 2 to 3 days). You may then remove the bag and proceed normally.
