Yes, there is minor assembly to most of our units including bolting the wheels on, adjusting the handlebars and bolting the shocks to the upper body of the unit. Estimated time to assemble is from 25 minutes to 1 hour.

The Colorado Trail Foundation supports a non-motorized trail. The Trail is suitable for hikers, equestrians, mountain bikers (with the exception of wilderness areas), and pack animals. A few sections of the CT are still shared with motorized users.

Once you order you can expect your ATV to arrive within 14 - 21 days. Only if there is high demand or shipping delays occur you can expect a little longer time.

If you plan to ride on the 'roads' then yes you must be a licensed driver and your vehicle must be licensed as well. However, a drivers license is not required to ride 'off-road'.

Yes. Your vehicle must have a current Colorado registration to operate in the National Forest. Permit information can be obtained at Colorado State Parks.

Rampart Range Road is a county road and all the rules of public roadways apply. Any vehicle operating on the road must have a valid license plate, permanently mounted in a visible location, and the operator must posses a valid drivers license with a motorcycle endorsement. The exceptions to this rule are portions of Dakan Road, Jackson Creek Road and Watson Park Road. See the trail information for more details. If you are caught, you WILL receive a ticket!

Absolutely! Responsible riders are always welcome. For ATV riders the Great Smoky Mountain National Park has a large area with several trails set up specifically for ATV's. Don't own an ATV? There is an ATV rental service in the National Park.

Anyone over the age of 6 who wants to learn more about riding off road. There are three different courses available for different ages and skill levels. The three courses offered are: Youth Dirt Bike School is for children ages 6 to 11. Parents are also actively participating in the training. Advanced Dirt Bike School is for those that have already passed the basic Dirt Bike School and are looking to further their skills.

ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) is the general term used to describe a vehicle designed for off-road use. This could include quad bikes, Landrovers, Argo-Cats etc. Quad bikes are the sit-astride four wheel bikes with handlebars. The farming community tends to call them ATVs, while the forestry calls them ATCs (All Terrain Cycles). Leisure users tend to use the term Quad Bike. We use the term interchangeably!

You can, but there isn't anywhere in the immediate area to ride them. We are located off a couple of private roads (one of which is slippery gravel), and the people living along them don't much care for ATVs zipping back and forth, and tend to report it to the local police. There are parks in the Buggs Island Lake area that do have trails adequate for bicycle riding.

Youth between the ages of 12 and 16 may operate an ATV or off road motorcycle on public land by obtaining the CD-ROM course from the DNR Information Center, and taking the behind the wheel 4 hour course listed on the ATV safety training webpage. People over age 16 and born after July 1, 1987, must also take the CD-ROM ATV course. Once a bear finds food around your home it is likely to return.

You may bring your own bike, or rent one of ours. Total Rider recommends that the bike be in good condition, with a suitable muffler and spark arrester. Motocross bikes are discouraged. Riders must bring their own protective gear including a DOT approved helmet, eye protection, long sleeves, long pants, full-fingered gloves and over-the-ankle leather boots or shoes. Special courses may be arranged for clubs, organizations and other groups. A minimum of 6 students is required.

Yes, you can, in most situations. It depends on what damper kit you currently have. Our V.1 damper kits can be swapped from virtually any dirt bike or street bike to another. With the correct hardware, it can be done. The damper unit may be too stiff or even too soft, but that can be easily fixed by one of our GPR Tech service men. With our V.2 damper kits, it is a case-by-case situation depending on application. V.

OHV recreation is just one of the many uses allowed on National Forest lands. OHV travel is restricted to designated routes. It is your responsibility to know and abide by regulations relating to motor vehicle travel. State law requires registration of all motor vehicles before being operated on public lands.
