Most vehicles will require proof of insurance prior to release. You will need to come to the Apple Valley Police Department with your proof of insurance and valid driver; we will then sign over a release that you will take to Dick's Impound Lot. Some vehicles require more than the above, such as current registration. Once Dick's has the release form, they will release your vehicle to you. FYI - Dick's takes cash only. Vehicles are automatically impounded from parking facilities after 45 days. There is a sign posting this information at the entrance of each parking facility and on the back of parking tickets. Vehicles are considered left abandoned, and are impounded immediately, if they are located on airport property anywhere other than a parking facility.
