Yes, your natural nails will continue to grow under the acrylics. I often describe it as "taking the acrylic along for a ride". Clients are often amazed that their nails now grow "so fast", when in reality, they simply are just not breaking off now. The common goal for most acrylic nail wearers is to have their natural nails with an acrylic overlay - this will occur within a few fills providing you don't break one that needs to be repaired with a tip or a form.

Soak a Q-tip or an orangewood stick with a cotton tip in a mixture of 10 parts water to 1 part bleach and rub the cotton tip on the stain. You may want to follow up with some hand lotion to counteract the drying effect of the bleach. Here's a trick when dying hair: coat both sides of the exposed nail with a few coats of clear polish and let dry. Then use gloves as usual for the dying, rinsing and the first shampoo.

In and of themselves and when applied properly, acrylic nails are safe. What contributes to the "danger" to clients is repeated exposure to the chemicals on the skin. Most of the chemicals used to create artificial nails are acrylic-based. Certainly they would be dangerous if ingested, but it is not likely that any significant amount of the products can go through the nails into the bloodstream. The danger is when products are applied improperly.

Any time you are picking or peeling anything from the surface of the nail, you may not see an immediate difference, but it will eventually cause a problem by making the natural nail thinner.

But it will probably make no difference to your natural nails whatsoever if they are healthy to begin with. Your nails probably feel weak after having enhancements removed, this is usually down to two things, either you have had them soaking in acetone for quite a while, this will cause them to feel weak, just the same as when you have been sitting in the bath for a while! your nails have been used to having a strong overlay on them...this has now been removed. causing a FEELING of weakness..

The solution will not discolor nail polish. However, the solution can cause unnatural coloration of cuticles and nails. Therefore, we recommend you apply California Tan Barrier Cream to nails and cuticles prior to a sunless spray application to avoid any discoloration.

First, stand with relaxed but erect posture, chest "comfortably high". Maintain an open stance and attitude, which will allow your body to function freely and without tension. When you take a breath, the lower part of the trunk of the body expands easily, as your ribs expand. Don't "gasp" the air or allow the shoulders and chest to rise.

A buff and polish is a procedure that is often done between fills. Your nail technician/manicurist will buff the out growth of the nail product, near the cuticle area, making it blend with your natural nail. Nails are then re-polished. A polish change is a nice treat to yourself between appointments. Depending on your lifestyle, polish can become "dull" or begin to wear off at the tips of your enhancements. Your nail technician/manicurist will simply remove your old polish and apply fresh, new polish to your nail enhancements. Chemotherapy can cause your nails to become brittle and grow slower than usual or become very soft. It is common to see a white or dark ridge in the nail after several weeks of chemotherapy. Clip your nails short and protect them from added stress, but do not cut your cuticles. Don't use artificial nails; they could possibly cause a hard to treat fungal infection. Do not use alcohol-based polish or polish remover.

It is the nature of bronze to develop a natural patina (darkening) over time and with exposure to acid or alkaline environments. Many people choose to allow this natural aging process and may prefer this appearance to that of a newly polished piece.
