Well, we can't, for two reasons, but you might be able to. Google Earth requires both broadband Internet and a PC. We use Macs and we don't have anywhere near broadband capability. I actually used a script that I wrote myself to digitise my route. It displays a Google map, and when I click on the map, it displays the longitude and latitude of the resulting point in a format I can copy out and paste into a text file. I then apply a few regular expressions to the file, and out pops a Google Maps XML file, as well as a Google Earth KML file. First you need to download Google Earth program from http://earth.google.com/downloads.html and install it to your computer. After installation select "Add" in the menu bar and click "Network link". Then choose a name for the new link by filling in the "Name" field, and put http://testbed.fmi.fi/kml/htb.kml in the "Location" field. It can't read and write the special file formats of those programs, but with the general purpose file format GPX this is possible - for Googel Earth with KML as well.. Why not use the GPX file format in general, to save user data, instead of the special file formats of Gartrip?
