Heins: Ahhhh... a great hero of my people. In every batch of pickles, there shall always be one or two that are not quite right, so you throw them away. And then, once a year vhen de veather turns, dey come back. If not for de Pickle Slayer, they vould take o'er d whole shire. Steve: Pssst.... Don't tell anyone I told you, but the Pickle Slayer is actually mild-mannered pickleman Heins.

If you don't want to use one of the dbm methods for storage (if you only have dumbdbm, for example), or one of the SQL methods, you can use a pickle (of a giant in-memory Python dict). A pickle will be relatively small, but slower, compared to using of the the dbm storage methods. To use a pickle, set the option "persistent_use_database" to False in your configuration file, in the section "Storage".

I'm a recent apostate, so still fairly passionate, and i assure you i'm foible-licious. As for the beach, i'm certain you could supply a lovely warm, brown/white/black one.

Pickle Lake is located at the end of Highway 599 about 300 km (180 miles) north of Ignace, Ontario. Steve: Don't tell Heins, but his pickles don't actually dress up for theme weekends on their own. Original PMC absorbs pickle, which will then leach out to form blue-green crystals. The solution is to boil (or use an ultrasonic) with a neutralizing solution of baking soda. So you did exactly the right thing. As your experiment showed, the other versions of PMC do not absorb enough pickle to require the cleaning phase. The only thing I can add is that it's possible to avoid pickle altogether, which is my preferred solution.

I've had fairly good luck doing it in the following way. Since vinegar is the primary smell in pickles and it's acidic, we used a base to counteract it. First we scrubbed the bucket well, inside and out, with Dawn dish detergent. Most any sort will do. Then we filled the buckets with hot water and dissolved a cup of baking soda in each. Stir well, get the bucket as full as you can and put the top on. Put the bucket in the sun to keep it warm so the plastic pores stay open as much as possible.

Firstly, check that your Master Arm is On. You can do this by moving the switch on the front left cockpit panel to the Arm position, or by using SHIFT+M. If you are using unguided bombs, in CCIP mode you will need to make sure you are at a sufficient altitude and dive angle for them to drop, otherwise there will be a short horizontal line across the centre of the vertical drop line of your HUD (see Mission 19 in Chapter 5 of the PDF manual).

Regular cucumbers just don’t work in pickling. Also, it is important not to cut up cucumbers before they are pickled. Likewise with any summer squash, like patty pan or small zucchinis or crook neck squash should be left whole. Otherwise these soft vegetables turn mushy. I have found some miniature hydroponic vegetables that pickle very well. Look for them at farmers markets and larger supermarkets. They are pricey, but they will dress up a jar of homely vegetables.

If you do, be certain there is at least as much vinegar as water. In the past, vinegar was sold as 7% acetic acid. Commercial vinegars are now 5% acetic acid. Recipes developed for the stronger vinegar might not contain sufficient acid to be used with 5% vinegar.

Steve: The nice folks at www.ilovepickles.org had something to do with it, too. My favorite part of getting it by mail-order? Its shipping materials consisted entirely of... a simple white label slapped on the side. The UPS lady showed up one day carrying a giant green pickle and said, "I'm not even going to ask." (I like to imagine an industrial conveyor belt in a UPS sorting facility somewhere: box, box, box, pickle, box....)

Faith isn't dead. She's in a coma. There won't be another new slayer at this point. Joss Whedon (who created Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has said that he's tired of the two-slayer deal and wants to focus on Buffy and her gang.

quot;In every generation, a slayer is called..." Slayers are usually located as young girls and trained by the Council of Watchers. However, it seems that how early a slayer is identified can vary from situation to situation — while Kendra was taken as a child, Buffy did not find out until she was called ("Becoming I," S2).

The line of succession is now understood to run through Faith. No new slayer will be called until she dies. However, this has only been stated in interviews — never onscreen — so Joss could change His mind at any time.

A question asked by many fans and for years myself until I recently found the answer. It depends which logo too, because what they use on merchandise (including DVD covers) and what appears on the opening credits are two different fonts. In the season one an season two opening credits it was all the one font which we don't really know but it might be "Slayer.
