PDF stands for Portable Document Format. This is the preferred format for digital printers to print from. A PDF is a format that allows a document to be opened and printed by a Mac or a PC without changing the appearance of the document. When creating a PDF it is important to make sure that you embed all the fonts.

To solve this, save the PDF file to the hard disk, and print it using Adobe Acrobat. If you don't know how to save the file, ask a consultant. On the Macintosh, there are two collate checkboxes. To solve the duplexing problem, uncheck the one in the Microsoft Word dropdown print menu. Make sure you DO NOT print the PDF as an image. In some cases printing a PDF as an image will work, but for the majority of the files, you do not want this setting enabled.

The file selection screen will be blank if EXTRACT can't read the directory of your CD-ROM or can't find any of the type of files you have selected. When you install Windows 2000, you may notice that File Manager (Winfile.exe) is not available.
