I'm making a film/video/tv programme; Where can I borrow or hire a milk float?

Milk Float Corner - Frequently Asked Questions
This is a surprisingly common question, but unfortunately I don't know a good answer to it. The advice I usually give is to contact some of the milk float specialists, post a request on the mailing list or contact local dairies. There are also specialist hire companies who provide vehicles for use in such productions, some of which may be able to provide a milk float. Please let me know if you have a better answer to this.

Whose idea was it to make this film and why?

Frequently Asked Questions
Writer-director-star Larry Blamire has had a life-long love of low-budget sci-fi/horror flicks and wanted to make a film that looked and sounded exactly like one, playing it perfectly straight-which of course makes it an out-and-out comedy.

I want to make a movie. Should I use film or video?

Digital Video (DV) Frequently Asked Questions
Using film will cost you literally thousands of dollars for enough film to shoot a 90 minute move. The equivalent number of MiniDV tapes will cost you less than $ 100. For the minimum cost of producing and editing a film, you could buy the setup that I've purchased and have equipment to produce quality videos for years. If you're not highly skilled with film, your first few productions will look pretty embarassing.

Please return resources as soon as you have finished using them, so we can accommodate other bookings.

Did Jack make the surf film "Shelter"?

Jack Johnson - FAQ : Frequently Asked Questions
Jack did not make "Shelter". Jack and Ben Harper make brief long-boarding appearances from when they were playing the Byron Bay Blues Festival in Australia in March 2001. The 'Shelter' Crew was near the Byron Bay filming the movie, and since Jack and Ben were close by, they stopped by one day and caught some waves. Jack's manager Emmett Malloy, along with Taylor Steele, made the surf film "Shelter" in 2001. For more info go to http://www.shelter2001.com
