Your ledger balance is your beginning-of-the-day balance. Your available balance is your beginning-of-the-day balance plus or minus any of "today's credits" or "today's debits." For example: your ledger balance is $100. Today's credits total $25 (you deposited $25 at your branch), and today's debits total $10 (you took $10 out at an ATM). Your available balance would be $115. Note: Other transactions may be credited or debited to your account throughout the day.

Your current balance is the total amount currently in your account. Available balance is your current balance plus any available overdraft protection funds.

This amount is the sum of the available balance plus money that has been earmarked for pending transactions. It is money that you can earn interest from.

All members must maintain a minimum share balance of $5.00. This remains in your share account as long as the account is open. Your balance represents all funds in your account including this minimum deposit amount, checks deposited with holds on the funds, and any other pledges on the account (i.e. secured loans or credit cards). The available balance is the actual amount available for withdrawal.

The total balance is your balance as of the date specified on the screen inclusive of check deposits and any amount on hold while available balance is your withdrawable balance as of today exclusive of uncleared check deposits and any amount on hold.

Funds deposited at ATM machines and checks deposited inside our branch offices have various holds placed on them. The number of days funds are held depends on the ownership of the ATM, the type of check deposited, and the geographic location of the bank the check is drawn on.

Your "Available Balance" is the balance you can withdraw. The "Current Balance" is the money that you can withdraw in addition to deposited checks awaiting to be credited to your account.

The Available Balance is the amount that is available for withdrawal. Checks and M&T Check Card purchases that are presented against your account are paid against your Available Balance, not your Total Balance.

If you use a Visa Check Card, when a transaction is processed the amount is placed on hold until it posts to your account. If you made an ATM deposit it is on hold for 24-48 hours until the envelope is pulled and verified. The funds are not available to clear transactions until the hold comes off.

Final Account Balance is the money you have in the account from which you're paying the debt. So if you're paying your mortgage out of your checking account, this is the amount of money left in checking when you're done.

The 'available' balance is the actual value of money available to the Account holder(s) that can be withdrawn. The 'available' balance can be found at the bottom of your Account Statement when you are online. The 'processed' balance is the total balance of the Account and includes transactions that may not have been fully cleared. This is the balance upon which interest is earned on the Account.
