This can occur for several reasons: the crown may not fit well, it may be too far under the gum, or it may have a metal base that blocks light. Teeth are like little fiber optic units. When light hits them, it illuminates the teeth and the surrounding gum tissue to give it that healthy pink glow. Metal blocks the light, causing the tissue to look dark. Non-metallic crowns are best for a natural appearance.

Crowns that show a dark area at the gum line reflect an inner metal layer that is covered over with porcelain. With all-ceramic crowns, teeth can be made to look completely natural, even at the gum line area.

Gum disease begins when plaque adheres at and below the visible edge of your gums. If plaque is not removed every day by brushing and flossing, it hardens into tartar. Tartar promotes a bacterial infection at the point of attachment. In these early stages, gum disease is called gingivitis. Your gums may be a bit red but you may not notice anything. As gingivitis gets more serious, tiny pockets of infection form. Your gums may be puffy and may bleed a little when you brush but it is not painful.

Each purple loosestrife plant is capable of producing an enormous number of seeds, up to three million every year. The seeds are small, light and are easily dispersed by the wind, which carries them great distances. In addition, loosestrife seeds have high viability, almost 100 per cent germination rate and remain viable after many years in the soil or submerged under water. Purple loosestrife can also spread vegetatively, by pieces of the stems or roots.

Crowns should last approximately 5-8 years. However, with good oral hygiene and supervision most crowns will last for a much longer period of time. Some damaging habits like grinding your teeth, chewing ice, or fingernail biting may cause this period of time to decrease significantly.

The idea was to pick a colour that would contrast with most other sites I link to, so that people could see when they were on my site and when they had left it. Range Folding is basically when the radar is unable to determine the wind's velocity. This is due to the speed at which the radar transmits signals, called the pulse repetition frequency (PRF). The faster the pulses are sent by the radar the less time it has to listen for any returned signals. It occurs when the return from a prior pulse is detected during the listening period for the current pulse. Both reflectivity and velocity data are affected by this.

Infected birds have red, swollen, runny, or crusty eyes; in extreme cases the eyes become swollen shut or crusted over, and the birds become essentially blind. Vitiligo appears as uneven white patches on the skin, that may vary from lighter tan to complete absence of pigment. Many people develop vitiligo bilaterally, in other words, if it appears on one elbow, it often appears on the other elbow. Researchers do not completely understand why this is. Others develop what is known as segmental vitiligo, where the patches develop in only one area or on only one side of the body.

There is no known technique for correcting for purple fringe. However, you can hide it. The basic idea is to selectively desaturate the regions and color ranges involved. This will have the effect of replacing the purple fringe with a gray fringe, which is often far less objectionable. If you're facile with image editing software, you can figure this out for yourself.
