The time commitment will depend on the individual Brigade and the type of role that you choose. Generally a Brigade will train weekly and hold meetings monthly, plus any incidents that occur.

You can participate as much or as little as you like. Some people might only put in a few hours a week. We will provide enough to keep you busy for 15-30 hours a week if you choose to take on everything offered.

a general guide our full time students normally have an average of 20 hours per week 'contact time' (i.e. taught sessions) spread over three days. You will also be expected to complete further hours of independent study. Some of this study requires you to be in College using facilities and resources or project work with other students.

About 35-40 hours per week in term time of which about 12-16 are contact hours. As our courses are demanding and are unashamedly aimed at able students, applicants are advised to consider the workload of our degrees as that for a full-time job.

All courses are timetabled and students are required by immigration regulations to attend at least 15 hours per week as a full time student. Our courses are designed generally for 16 hours per week on average, which is inclusive of classroom teaching and tutorials. Some courses e.g. Computer Studies require students to undertake practical work, which adds additional hours for the individual student concerned.

About 2 hours per week, depending upon many factors: How quickly your student types, if they need to read every single link in each lesson in order to understand key concepts, and how dedicated they are at staying on-task and getting their work completed in a timely fashion. The average number of hours is 2. The good news is that students are able to break apart those hours however they please across the course of a week.

Volunteers serve an important role in fulfilling our mission. All volunteers are needed and the elderly depend on them. For this reason, it is important that volunteers report to their assignment when scheduled and on time.

The intensive German course has 20 units (á 45 min.) plus 5 units Conversation, Interactive Computer lessons, Film-Workshop per week. In addition to this we offer individual lessons. (Top of Page)

Each unit requires an average of eight hours self-study per week. Study Periods 1 and 2 run for a period of twenty weeks and Study Period 3 for ten weeks. For the purpose of determining how much time off work to allow for people undertaking the program, our educational consultants advise that the eight hours of self study can be considered equivalent to four hours of lectures plus four hours of self study.

Students may work a maximum of 30 hours per week while school is in session (40 hours/week during break periods). However, on average, students work approximately 10-15 hours per week.

The amount of time will vary depending on the specific project. Our goal is to implement projects that will easily integrate into your everyday practice routine.

You are welcome to attend any classes that are appropriate to your level. We understand that many of our students have fluctuating schedules. When you register for a class card, you do not have to commit to a specific class day. For example, if you choose the 12 classes option, you can take those 12 classes any time you would like within a 90 day period. For example: one per week; skip a week and take 2 classes the following week; etc.

A minimum of three hours of study for each credit hour is standard. Clinical courses require three hours of clinical experience (hospital, clinic, skills labs, seminar) for one academic credit. Clinical hours are completed in 2 or 3 days per week, depending on the course. Clinical times are usually during the day or early evening.

The full-time IELC program is 23 hours per week. Students with F-1 student visas must attend the program full-time in order to maintain immigration status.

This is a good question and the answer depends on many factors including the type of service you want to receive. A young child requiring early intervention will likely require more support than an older child working on just one or two target behaviours. For our early intervention service using the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS), we recommend a minimum of 10 consultation hours per month.

The courses are structured to provide 48 credit hours. If the course is offered over a 12 week semester, this means you will need to spend about 4 hours per week on the course. Since the courses are offered asynchronously (not live time) you can “fit” your participation into your schedule.
