Ticker symbols are entered using the symbol input box located in the upper left-hand portion of the window. After each symbol is entered into the input box, click the "Add Symbol" button to proceed. To enter multiple symbols, put a comma between the symbols, ie: aol,msft,csco,ibm & click the "Add Symbol" button to proceed . Each list will allow up to 50 unique symbols. A total of 500 symbols can be entered into your portfolio.

Log in to your account and click on Plan information in the left-hand menu, then Fund details & propectuses.

Each symbol is composed of the first two letters of the genus+first two letters of the species+first letter of the terminal infraspecific name+tiebreaking number (if needed). Genus and family symbols are the first five (genus) or six (family) letters of the name, plus tiebreaking number (if needed). Symbols were first used in the Soil Conservation Service’s National List of Scientific Plant Names (NLSPN), and have been perpetuated in the PLANTS system.

CEMEX' shares trade on the Mexican Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol CEMEXCPO. CEMEX's shares also trades on the New York Stock Exchange in the form of ADRs under the ticker symbol CX.

A ticker is the three or four letter-trading symbol assigned to a share (and some types of fund – investment trusts and ETF’s) by the exchange on which it trades. Investors often refer to shares by their ticker symbols because of their brevity and because they often remain the same even if a company’s name changes.

In order to delete a symbol from the symbol entry drop-down box, simply place your mouse over the symbol you would like to delete, the symbol in the drop-down should be highlighted in blue and then press the delete button on your keyboard. You cannot delete the active symbol in the component window. Please note that deleting symbols from the drop-down will also delete them from your list of favorites if you have created a list in preferences. Top

Some email software/service (but unfortunately not all) allow you to add an HTML signature (Outlook, Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL allow it, check your email software help to know how to do so). Just copy the HTML code block into the appropriate entry of your email software/service.

Ticker can be configured by clicking on the button on the right hand corner of the ticker window. On clicking the button ticker configuration window is displayed. You can enter the Symbol and Series of the scrip you want to add to the ticker. Click on Save and then Close. Scrips in the ticker can be removed by selecting the scrip and clicking on Del Inst.

The Macquarie Global Infrastructure Total Return Fund is listed on the New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE") and traded under the ticker MGU.

You can send a ticker to any open one-to-one chat or conference window. Right click on the ticker symbol in your Active Securities list and select Send Ticker To. Select where you want to send the ticker from the list of active chats and conferences that is shown. You can also drag the ticker into the desired chat or conference window. If you receive a ticker in a chat or conference, just click on it to get live data for that ticker, or right-click on it for additional options.

The -> is the "infix dereference operator". In other words it is the means by which one calls a sub with a pass by reference (among other things you can do with ->). As stated above most things in calls to Perl/Tk routines are passed by reference. The -> is used in perl just as in C or C++. (Most of the widget primitives are elements of the Tk:: "perl class".) REG) By default, symbols are exported using EXPORT_SYMBOL, so they can be used by loadable modules. During the 2.4 series, a new export directive EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL was added. This is almost the same thing, except that the symbol can only be accessed by modules which have a GPL compatible licence (note that this includes dual-licenced BSD/GPL code).
