Well if you reading this you probably have your 'notice of confiscation' in front of you so you will know why they are keeping you disks for themselves :-). If the disks are of an 'illicit' nature, it's probably best to chalk it down to experience as, unless you plan to challenge it in the courts, you aren't getting you disks back :-). However if you are importing 'regular' films it might be worth contacting customs to ask why it was confiscated.

Answer: Technically you can do nothing. If you are a purchaser of an item in a country where the item is considered contraband, you are responsible for knowing it is illegal to purchase it. In this case the seller met their obligation by shipping the item to you.

We import all our stocks by closely following Canadian laws and regulations. Your orders will not be confiscated. In the rare case that we cannot deliver you what you have paid for, you will be offered a 100% refund on the item.

All orders from within the EU are free from any customs charges. If you order from outside the EU you might get charged for duty and customs fees, however most smaller packages will make it through customs. We suggest you talk to your local customs office for more information. For any special shipping requests please use the comment box when checking out. First thing you should do is contacting your local post office. Often they forget to leave you a note about your undelivered records.

Customs will not likely confiscate any delivery in almost any country. We know what we are doing and also will let you know if there is a problem that is unforseen due to the nature of the merchandise. You have a right to be concerned about this. We estimate that between 3 and 5% of all orders are seized by customs. If your order is unfortunately seized and held by customs we will reship to you as per our reship policy. You may purchase parts directly from Memphis Folding Stairs. You will need the model name and size of the stair to ensure the correct part. The model name of the stair is the most important information you will need. To identify the model, pull the stairway down and look on the inside of the door panel. The model name of the stair will be stamped just to the left or the right of the pull cord. (See Parts diagram). Look for the words LOK/TREAD. The next word is the model name.
