How can I check my serial port to see if it is working OK?
ACT LABS - Product FAQ AnswersThe Windows "device manager" is not a conclusive check on the function of any device, especially serial ports. The best test is to power down the PC, unplug your regular mouse and plug a serial mouse into the port you intend to use with the wheel. When you re-boot, Windows should find a mouse. If not, you know the port is not working properly. You will probably need to consult your motherboard's manual to determine if the serial ports are indeed enabled in the motherboard's BIOS setup.
