Typical old workstation monitors are not very practical PC display device because their limitations in supported scree modes. There is usually a power indicator light on the front of the monitor. The power indicator light should be green, which indicates that the monitor is on and receiving a signal from the PC. If you have a green light, but no display, attempt to adjust the brightness and contrast controls on the monitor.
