Input files supported include .wav, .mp3 (MPEG Layer-3 Encoding Audio Compression), .vox (Dialogic), .wma (Windows Media Audio), .msv (Sony ICD-MS1), and .dss (Olympus). Output file types include: .wav, .mp3, .vox, and .wma. Conversion of the Olympus and Sony proprietary formats requires separate purchase of software converting the .msv and .dss files, respectively, to .wav. Conversion to .wma requires installation of Windows Media Player, which is distributed with acWAVE?.

These concepts are common to all text mode applications (see the previous question). A program's standard input is whatever it reads from the keyboard (i.e., whatever you type into its terminal emulator window once the program begins to run). A program's standard output is whatever it prints in its terminal emulator window.

FlagShip has three different i/o engines for GUI, Terminal and Basic input and output. You may specify the required type at compilation/link time by -io=g, -io=t or -io=b switch. If nothing is given, a hybrid application is created and the i/o mode is determined at run-time either automatically or by the same switch in command-line parameter of your application. The use, advantages and differences of these different i/o modes is described in detail in fsman section LNG.5.3 and LNG.9.6-9.

The IBIS standard specifies that the pullup and pulldown curves contain pullup and pulldown data ONLY, i.e. in the region where the clamp diodes are active the current due to the clamp diodes must be subtracted from the pullup/pulldown current. This is where the non-monotonic curves come from -- at the extremes of the I/V curves where you are subtracting a large diode current from the combined diode/on-state-IV curve.

mvpmc is capable of playing mp3, ogg vorbis, ac3, and uncompressed WAV files. It is also capable of playing m3u playlists.

A file type is also referred to as a file extension. It is a label assigned to a file to distinguish what program opens it. Typically, it is a 3 letter designation following the file name. For the HTML destination: GIF (default), JPEG, and PNG. For the LATEX destination: PostScript (default), EPSI, GIF, JPEG, and PNG.

JPEG (can be .jpg or .jpeg)- JPEG's support over 16 million colours, but can "distort" the image to compress the file size. The amount distortion is directly related to the 'quality' setting the image is saved with. We also recommend that you use the least amount of jpeg compression possible. (This is a setting on cameras that is sometimes called "quality" or "compression".) While high resolution and low compression will increase transfer times, they will produce the best results.

mvpmc is capable of playing mpeg1/mpeg2 videos with mpeg or AC3 audio streams. In addition, the user can choose the audio stream to play if there is more than one (ie, a DVD VOB file with multiple language tracks).

The Z-310 will accept files in the following formats, however we can convert many different file types to .stl. To achieve the greatest cost benefit models should be sized to fit in a 8 X 10 X 8 cube. However, larger models may be printed in sections and glued together.

Except for EM1DFM, all output file names used by UBC-GIF codes have pre-defined names. Therefore you must use directories to keep track of your work rather than file names. See the manuals of individual codes for details. IMPORTANT: because the codes have fixed file names for output information, you MUST run separate inversions from separate directories. You are expected to keep track of a collection of results by using directories rather than file names.

The request (input) file is an ASCII file containing general information (password, report type and request reference number) as well as specific information (ID of the queried system: Meter Point, Delivery Point, summary map). The response (output) file is generated, upon the viewer's option, in either ASCII or EDI-867 format, while metering data is displayed for various channels in kWh, kVAh, I2h or V2h.

Adobe Acrobat files (.pdf), are supported. Other file types will be rejected. All files must be unlocked!

A variety of file type are supported within Blackboard. If you are uploading a file, the only thing to keep in mind is the user and the software he/she has on their computers. The default character encoding used by XMLOutputter is UTF-8, a variable-length encoding that can represent all Unicode characters. This can be changed with a call to format.setEncoding() on the Format object passed to XMLOutputter. It would be nice if XMLOutputter could default to the original encoding for a file, but unfortunately parsers don't indicate the original encoding. You have to set it programatically.
