Door hangers containing information identifying the work to be performed in the area are left on each customer's door at least three days before the crews arrive for scheduled pruning. An AUB representative will also make every effort to meet with customers face-to-face to discuss specifically what will be done. This process applies to the routine maintenance work that is pre-planned and scheduled.

We have Santa's helpers here that will cut your chosen tree and carry it to the netter. Another helper will wrap your tree in plastic netting, so it will be easy to transport. Someone else will cover the top of your car with a soft material that protects the finish from sap and from the needles, and very carefully tie your tree on your car for the journey home.

Frequently Asked Questions | Northwest Fine Woodworking | Fi...
Thank you for thinking of us, but unfortunately we are a retail location and do not do any woodworking on site. The furniture makers who display their work with us have their own sources for materials, and very few of them have the time or resources to make a freshly cut tree into useable boards (cutting, transporting, milling, drying, etc.). Wood turners tend to be more interested in new wood, so one recommendation is to contact wood turning groups or organizations in your area.

Infected trees can remain green and healthy-looking for years, or may quickly succumb to the disease and die in a matter of months. There is no need to cut down an infected tree unless it has become infested with beetles and decay fungi and is rendered structurally unstable. Once a tree has become unstable, it may snap or fall at any time and is a threat to lives and property. For this reason, we recommend that unstable trees be removed, especially if they are near people or buildings.
Caldwell Tree Care
Every tree has the potential to fall, but only a small number actually hit someone or something. It is a property owner’s responsibility to provide for the safety of trees on his or her property. Common defects associated with tree hazards should be identified. Evaluating the seriousness of the defects is best done by a certified arborist. Once a hazard tree is recognized, a prescription should be written recommending steps to reduce the likelihood of the tree falling and injuring someone.
Kansas Forest Service - Community Forestry Frequently Asked ...
Leaning trees are not necessarily a problem. If the tree is growing naturally at an angle it may have a very low risk of failure, as long as there are no other problems with the tree, such as defects, injuries, decay, disease, etc. It is more likely a potentially dangerous situation if the tree had been growing upright and has shifted to a leaning position over time or after a storm. Call a KAA or ISA Certified Arborist to examine the situation and discuss the appropriate action.

There is no way to determine if an individual tree will live or die after contracting SOD. Each tree responds differently to infection, and experience tells us that it is rare for a pathogen to kill all plants it infects. Currently there are no approved chemical treatments to treat infected trees. However there have been some promising results in laboratory trials so there is research to try to identify fungicides that may help reduce infection levels on infected trees.
