Yes. Instead of the complete bed wood kit, you will need to install a strip of wood on each side of the bed under the angle strip. It should be 3/4" thick and at least 1-1/2" wide and should have holes drilled to match the angle strip holes. This board will act as a spacer between the cross sills and the angle strip to position the bedsides at the correct height over the cross sills.

A single ended bed frame (one that you attach only a headboard to, no footboard) does not need to protrude from the foot of the bed for it to support properly. In fact you would not want it to because you would risk scraping you ankle every time you walked by this high grade steel frame.

Yes. The Silhouette adjustable platforms will fit inside standard Queen and King headboard, foot- board and side-rails. Because the Full XL and Twin XL are not the standard sizes that most bed frames come in, your standard Twin and Full bed frames will not work with these size adjustable beds. But the headboard should be able to be fitted to the head of the adjustable bed in these sizes.

Both the HP and HS (at the tall height) are designed to fit in a standard 8 foot ceiling (about 7 1/2 feet). The HS has a short ceiling setting at about 6 1/2 feet.

You need to use a wooden frame mattress for a wooden frame waterbed, you need to use a specific mattress for a full depth softside waterbed and special cylinders or mattresses for a shallow fill bed. A lot of the current legged frames that headboards and footboards come with are capable of holding a full depth or shallow fill softside bed.
