We have very limited resources. With over 12,000 student account holders and about 200 open lab computers, it is impossible to guarantee computer time to students working on assignments. If some of those computers are being used by students playing games it stretches our resources even further. Out of consideration to your fellow students we ask that you do not play games. First of all you need to have Java installed. Java comes by default with most operating systems but not always. If the game does not load at all you need to download Java. Simply direct your browser to www.java.com and follow the instructions from there. If you are not sure if you have Java installed, you can test your browser here. It doesn't work anymore because of the CD-ROM extension of Mac OS. In the latest versions of this extension, direct access to CD-ROMs was disabled, and now MagicEngine can not read PC-Engine CDs anymore. Under Mac OS 8 or 9 it's possible to install an older version of this extension to make CD emulation possible again, but it does not work in OS X. To be able to play to CD games again in OS X you will have to wait the OS X version of MagicEngine.

Play-by-post is a way of playing D&D (or any roleplaying game) online without needing chat software or a specific meeting time. Basically, the DM makes a post to a thread describing what the players see/hear/experience, and then each player responds with his character's reactions. Posting times vary between game, from fast games that ask for players to post several times per day, to games that require only one post per week.

Some of the games in FB are written in javascript, therefore your browser must support javascript and also the version compatibility is very important. Check if your browser java plugin is enabled and you have the latest version installed. In most cases, these are not bugs, merely your browser/javascript plugin compatibility issues, however if you faced such an error, do write to the admin. In this case, if you report the error/bug to FB admin, you will be rewarded with HP and MP.

No. As long as your clock does not go below "0d 00:00", any delay is permitted. You need not move "every X days", just move quick enough so that your clock stays well above "0d 00:00". For example, if your clock shows "10d 15:00", you have enough time for a vacation of more than 10 days. You should make sure that every game has at least 10 days on your clock. For longer vacations (more than one week) I would recommend to inform your opponents beforehead - just a matter of courtesy.

Videos belonging to games from Blizzard contain DivX video, but with a different FourCC, namely "BLZ0". To play such videos you need to use ffdshow for decoding DivX video. The regular DivX decoder won't work (unless you manually change the FourCC). If that doesn't solve the problem, then you should use Media Player Classic or VideoLAN to play the file.

Clan UED specializes in generally Blizzard Entertainment games such as: StarCraft, Diablo, WarCraft, World of WarCraft. However, we've been known to transfer to other games such as Counter-Strike, Medal of Honor, Battle Field, Americas Army. Any game can be a potential prospect.

All games will be played beginning on Thanksgiving day, Friday and Saturday. Your game times may vary and could be between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm. The final games of each night should end by 9:00 pm. Game schedules will be determined upon close of the tournament registration. You will receive a tournament schedule, showing times you play and opposing teams at team check-in.
