MSO file is a Microsoft Office file. The EDMS uses file signatures (also known as "magic numbers") to determine file type. All types of Microsoft Office files share the same file signature, and, as a result, different kinds of files will be assigned the MSO extension. If you download an MSO from the EDMS, use different Microsoft Office programs to try to open it. Right-click on the file and select "Open with" > "Choose Program".

If your DBF file is created by one application, but you want to open the fixed file in another application, then you may fail.
