How long will KLASS KOTE Epoxy Paint last?
FAQ - KLASS KOTEIn most normal uses, KLASS KOTE will provide substrate protection for years without re-coating. In some circumstances, continued and prolonged, outside exposures to ultra-violet light may cause some degree of oxidation (chalking) and/or induce slight color fading. However, most normal periods of sunlight exposure will not affect the film. Even if chalking occurs, the product will retain its outstanding protective integrity for years.

That is to say, that any of the components of any of the three will work equally as well together as the "correct" brand. Modelers who have a quantity of colors of Hobbypoxy or K&B but no catalysts or reducer for them, may possibly be able use up what they have by using Klass Kote catalyst and/or reducer. FAQNormal paint products, although also consisting of many different ingredients, does not have a catalyst part and relies mainly on the evaporation of solvents to air-dry. This process leaves the binder elements that keep the solids and pigments together as a coloured layer on the surface. The inherent bonding qualities of an epoxy resin system offers far more bonding strength to the substrate it was designed for. See similar questions...

Why do you make fun of Polly Klass?
Frequently Asked QuestionsI don't make fun of Polly Klass. I'm not making light of the situation either. She was murdered by a brutal man, and that man is paying the price. My beef isn't with Polly, it's with her father. I have a problem that he makes his living off his daughter's death. I think that is the most depraved thing a victim could do. Case in point: I believe John Walsh is an American hero. A true hero. His son was murdered, but he took his tragedy and created "America's Most Wanted. See similar questions...
