Bigger dual engine boats range 20-40 gallons an hour. The Nordhavn 43 is about 55,000 pounds. Yet because of its design and slower speed, it consumes only about 2.5 gallons per hour. Slowing down burns as little as 1.8, speeding up can burn 3+. Said another way, we get about 2.5 to 3.

To atomize (see next question) properly, the fuel must be kept hot, so steam pipes are routed through the fuel tank in the tender to keep it at 130 degrees F. 1522 did not always burn oil - she was originally built as a coal burner but only stayed that way for a year before being converted. The stove can burn most any fuel: methanol, anhydrous isopropyl alcohol, Coleman white gas, gasoline, kerosine, etc... It has, however, only been tested with methanol and anhydrous isopropyl alcohol. Operationally, you may wish to meter the wet and dry fuel to create a consistent fuel blend or you may want to exhaust the least merchantable fuel before using a more valuable fuel. With the controls designed for this scenario, this can easily be accomplished. In general, any time there are continuous variations in fuel quality, it is desirable to have an operator near by the steam plant.

The Luminarium Outdoor Hearth was designed and built strictly for use with Fire Designs Hearth Fuel. Burning anything other than Hearth Fuel could cause damage to the unit or your property and would void the warranty.

Type of toner and content (qty. in grams) is dependent upon printer / cartridge model.
