There are those who swim from the resort to the island…but you need to be a VERY competent swimmer. Additionally, by swimming, you aren’t able to bring a bag/tote along for your necessities (tanning lotion, snacks, sunglasses, etc.). The island does NOT have a beach, and it is more for recreation and socializing. If you are going to COR, do NOT miss the opportunity to meet some of the wonderful, engaging folks on the island! Houghton, Michigan, Ranger III - You can take the Ranger from Houghton, Michigan. It is run by the National Park Service and is a 165' vessel. It runs from approximately June 1 till September 12. It goes from Houghton to Rock Harbor on Tuesdays and Fridays then, Rock Harbor to Houghton on Wednesdays and Fridays. It costs approximately $48 for adults and $24 for kids 11 and under. Since the exact value is not publically displayed, finding a Pokemon that fits this description is as good as random. However, a man in Pacifidlog Town will say "I can see Mirage Island today!" if there is such a Pokemon in your party. Mirage Island appears on Route 130 by Surfing east from Pacifidlog Town (You can't miss it).

You can visit the island via the Ferry on Saturday or take a day trip with one of the local tour operators. Whatever your choice, don't miss Direction Island. Also Prison Island is another popular area to swim as is many of the channels between the more remote islands.

All children enrolled in the Summer Fun Program swim on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at the Mt. Lebanon Community Pool, weather permitting. Fees for swimming are an additional cost.

Yes to lagoon, No to swimming pool. Most people getting an average-sized tattoo will have no problem going in the lagoon. In fact, ancient Tahitians used to go into the lagoon immediately after receiving a tattoo in order to speed healing. I do however recommend you use a healing ointment such as tamanu oil, A&D or Biafine and rinse with fresh water after swimming. If you plan on getting a very large tattoo, I would advise staying out of the water 2-3 days.
