with any surgery, there is a risk of complications after hip replacement surgery. However, they are quite rare… driving on an Interstate highway is probably more dangerous. To reduce the risk of infection, we take special precautionary measures in the operating room, and use powerful antibiotics. Our personnel are limited to fully trained and experienced nurses and technicians.

UAE has been done since 1979 to help control uterine hemorrhaging and was first done in 1991 for the treatment of uterine fibroids. In 1996 it was offered as a primary therapy for uterine fibroids. Our Doctors have been performing this procedure since 1998, but have extensive experience with pelvic embolization.

UAE is a technique performed by specialized interventional physicians under local anesthesia. A small catheter is inserted into a blood vessel in your groin and threaded into the arteries to your uterus. Small particles are injected through the catheter to decrease blood flow to the fibroids, which usually causes them to shrink. In most patients, bleeding and pressure-related symptoms are significantly reduced.

Urinary frequency or other bladder symptoms caused by compression of the bladder by fibroids or compression of the ureters, which can cause hydronephrosis.

Gynecological exams will be done within 2 weeks of the procedure and at regular intervals as determined by your gynecologist. Clinical improvement in abnormal bleeding and in pelvic pain and/or pressure will be evaluated. MRI will be scheduled at 3 months and 12 months post procedure, plus a clinic visit with the radiologist. These will provide measurements of the uterus, fibroids and calculate uterine volume and volume of the dominant fibroid.

The airways are narrow structures, especially in children. Even partial blockade of the airways during an infection may cause significant, or even life-threatening difficulty in breathing.

Only a minority of patients develop complications of GERD. These complications include breaks in the lining of the esophagus (esophageal erosions), esophageal ulcer, and narrowing of the esophagus (esophageal stricture). In some patients, the normal esophageal lining or epithelium may be replaced with abnormal (Barrett's) epithelium. This condition (Barrett's esophagus) has been linked to cancer of the esophagus and must be carefully watched.

Possible short term complications include bleeding and infection. Although rare in parotid surgery, some patients may develop a thick scar or keloid.  . In some patients, a depression or a "dent" occurs at the site of the removed tumor. Many patients experience numbness of the earlobe and outer edge of the ear after parotid surgery. This generally resolves slowly over time.

In experienced hand there is not any specific complication directly related to laparoscopic procedure but if the surgeon is not trained enough in laparoscopy than the chance of following complication is there: But inexperience hand these complications are extremely rare. and altogether laparoscopic procedure has less complication than conventional surgery

Answer: If left untreated, STDs can lead to major health problems. HIV can lead to AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome). Other STDs can cause infertility, tubal pregnancy, reproductive cancers, pelvic inflammatory disease, and serious complications in newborns. Complications from STDs often occur years after infection.

The most serious complications are severe bleeding inside the eye and infection inside the eye. Severe intraocular bleeding is said to occur once in 500 operations. In my experience with the current small-incision surgical method bleeding is much more rare than that. Serious infection is said to occur once for each 1,000 operations. In my own experience it is closer to once in 2,500 operations. Less dramatic complications, with no major vision loss, are said to occur in about 3% of operations.
