The National Producer number or NPN can be obtained from www.licenseregistry.com. On the left side of the webpage is a link titled Producer, click on this link. Next, click on National Producer Number Access. You can search two ways for the number. Please contact the Licensing Division of the state to which you are applying; for an explanation of their background investigation question.
