Every room has one small refrigerator. You may not bring an extra refrigerator or a freezer. If you have a medical condition or religious requirement for additional refrigeration, Residence Life will provide one based on documentation you submit to Residence Life. Per the Room and Board Agreement, "Refrigerators that stand less than 35" in height and draw no more than 1.5 amps of power are allowed. Microwaves up to 800 watts of power output are acceptable." So basically, any small refrigerator unit you'd find in a large retailer such as Walmart, K-Mart or Target would be acceptable. Ditto for smaller sized microwaves.

Refrigeration is not available in Hendricks Hall *. The EMU student union (across the street) has several microwaves scattered amongst the various eating areas. In Hendricks Hall, there is a small kitchenette with sink and microwave in the basement area near the computer lab. There is no refrigerator. Feel free to use this space as long as you clean up after yourself (including splatters in the microwave) and help keep the space clean.

Yes; refrigerators are permitted, providing they do not exceed 2.5 cubic feet. Any refrigerators over that size are NOT ALLOWED and will be removed from the campus. Rentals are not available through CM; however, all apartments come with one refrigerator. You may still bring an additional refrigerator if you require another for your own personal use.

There are a few things you want to watch for when choosing a bread machine to use as a coffee roaster. You want an all metal stirring assembly and you want the bottom of the pan to be solid. Some bread machines have plastic pieces holding the stirring thing-a-ma-bob in place, and the heat gun could melt the plastic. Do not use any bread machine that has a plastic stirring assembly or if the receptacle in which the pan sits is plastic, rather than metal.
