Transcripts are evaluated for credit by the Registrar’s Office after you have been accepted. Acceptance of Education, Nursing and Music courses require review by the appropriate Dean (For unofficial evaluations, please call the Enrollment Office)

There is a one month period of time when applications are first accepted for a specific term at the CSU and UC. Please contact the Career/Transfer or Counseling Centers for the priority filing dates. Typically, the application filing periods are:

Yes and no. The UC system allows you to apply to all its campuses with just one application. There is a fee for each school to which you have them send your application. The CSU system requires a separate paper application for each campus. Using the online application is an efficient way to save time.

The GMAT is one of the required parts of an application and the results are an important factor in the admission process. However, there is no certain weight put on this or any other factor. GMAT results are reviewed in conjunction with all other parts of the application.

Many students do not know that they have satisfied most LBCC AA requirements in Liberal Arts at LBCC when they complete admissions requirements for a CSU or UC school. If you completed LBCC GE Plan B or Plan C with 60 transferable units and have completed the reading proficiency requirement at LBCC, you may petition for an AA in Liberal Arts (option II) at Long Beach City College. Students apply for the degree during the semester when the degree requirements will be completed.

Grades are considered together with grade point average, course work, letters of recommendation, and GRE scores as the applicant's academic qualifications. This academic portion of the application generally counts at least 1/3 to 1/2 when applications are evaluated.
