The most important thing about showering and shampooing is to avoid getting anything in the eyes that will cause you to rub them. The best shampoo we have found so far is Johnson's Baby Shampoo as, even if it gets in your eyes, you will not feel the urge to rub them. Your eyes should be fine to use your normal brand after 2 weeks. See similar questions...

RapidBath - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The RapidBath? system uses extremely highly concentrated shampoo. The chemical ingredient in common flea and tick shampoo should not be that concentrated and so for safety, we do not offer a Flea and Tick shampoo for use with the devise. However, flea and tick shampoo works best on a clean animal and flea and tick shampoo should not be used for cleaning purposes. What makes shampoo different from soap?

Althaea Soaps and Herbals - FAQ
Hair reacts to certain oils quite differently than does the skin. Therefore, the fats used to create a gentle-but-cleansing shampoo are very different from what is needed to create a gentle-but-cleansing skin formula. The most striking difference is the proportion of coconut oil. In a skin formulation, you don't want to use too much coconut oil. A little bit is moisturizing, and makes a hard bar of soap with a fluffy lather. Too much coconut oil can be very drying to the skin, however. See similar questions...

Can I wash my hair with the soap, instead of the shampoo?

About the Soap
Yes, you can! I don't recommend it for every time, unless that happens to work for your hair, but just once won't give you that washed-with-soap-hair feeling. It will not leave a residue like commercial soap. The body soap does not contain the same conditioning oils as the shampoo, so it will not leave your hair quite as soft, but some people wash their hair with it regularly with no problem. Alex Brown Horseracing: Following Barbaro's Legacy :: News: ...
Depending on the climate, we vary the water temperature. Thus in the summer a cold hosing might be appropriate, but in the late spring, early fall a warm bath may be better. In the winter, no bath. Baths occur after training and before cooling out. Typically we will bath them with soap (special equine soap) and then rinse them. The (liquid) soap is designed to be less iritating to the horse, but needs washing out afterwards. See similar questions...
